The first step in tackling mayonnaise stains is to blot the area with a damp cloth to remove as much of the mayonnaise as possible. This should be done immediately after the spill or splatter takes place. If you're dealing with an old mayonnaise stain, use a damp cloth to try and lift the residue away from fabric.
When it comes to removing mayonnaise stains, you'll need to use a pre-treatment stain remover or laundry detergent to help lift grease out of the fabric's fibers. To apply, simply spray or rub the product onto the stain and let sit for 10 minutes or as directed on package.
Once the stain remover has had time to work its magic, rinse the affected area with warm water to help remove any remaining residue. You may need to repeat this step a few times until the stain is gone.
Once any of the remaining residue has been removed, wash the skirt in the washing machine using the manufacturer's instructions on the label. Be sure to use cold water and a gentle cycle. Air dry or tumble dry on the lowest heat setting.
