Removing the Stain
- If the stain is still wet, use a clean cloth to dab away as much of the liquid mayonnaise as possible. Avoid scrubbing and rubbing the stain as this might spread it further.
- Mix a solution of lukewarm water and a few drops of liquid detergent. Dip a separate cloth in this mixture and test if it causes discoloration in a hidden area of the garment. If not, use this cloth to lightly blot the stain.
- Create a paste using a mild laundry pre-treatment or oxygenated bleach powder and water. Rub this paste onto stained area and leave for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water.
- If this method does not fully remove the stain, repeat above steps and then rinse with hot water.
- Wring out excess moisture from the clothing item and lay it flat to air dry.
