1. The Stalwart Pre-Treatment

If you’re dealing with a fresh mayonnaise stain, the best thing to do is take a pre-treatment approach. Start by dabbing the stain with a soft cloth or paper towel. This will help remove as much mayonnaise as possible before you move onto the next step of cleaning.

2. Get Soapy

Once you’ve removed as much of the mayonnaise as possible, it’s time to get soapy! Create a cleaning solution using 1 tablespoon of a liquid detergent of your choice and 1 cup of warm water. Use a soft cloth to gently scrub the stain. If the stain persists, try adding a few drops of white vinegar into the mix. This should help loosen up the stain and make it easier to remove.

3. Rinse Clean

After you’ve given the stain a good scrubbing, rinse area with warm water. Pat it dry with a soft cloth and check to see if the stain has been removed. If not, repeat steps 1-3 until the stain is gone.

4. Keep in Mind: Air Dry Only!

When it comes to purses, air drying is way to go. Don’t be tempted to throw your purse in the dryer! This could lead to shrinking and other damage to your purse. To speed things along, consider propping your purse open with a fan or hairdryer to help speed up the drying process.
