The first step to removing mayonnaise stains from Piqué is to blot the area with a damp paper towel to absorb as much of grease as possible. Then rinse the affected area with cold water and pat dry with a clean cloth or towel. It's important to act quickly before the stain sets into the fabric.
Next, mix a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water in a bowl. Dip a sponge into the solution and gently rub it over the stain. This will help to break down the oils and loosen stain. Rinse area with cold water and use a clean cloth or towel to blot away any remaining moisture.
If the stain persists, mix up a paste of baking soda and warm water and apply it directly to the stain. Rub it into the stain with a soft bristled brush and then rinse with cold water. You can repeat this process until the stain is gone.
Finally, if stain does not come out after repeated attempts, you may need to use a stronger cleaning solution like laundry detergent or a commercial stain remover. Be sure to test any solution on a small, inconspicuous area of the fabric before treating the entire stain. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for a few minutes and then rinse with cold water.
With these tips, you can easily remove mayonnaise stains from your Piqué fabric and keep your clothes looking their best!
