Mayonnaise is a popular condiment for sandwiches, burgers, and other dishes, but it can be challenging to deal with when it spills on your outerwear. If you're in a pinch, there are several methods you can use to get rid of those pesky mayonnaise stains.
Step 1: Blot stain as soon as possible. Use a clean, absorbent cloth or paper towel to gently blot the mayonnaise stain. This will absorb some of oil in the mayonnaise, which will make it easier to remove.
Step 2: Create a cleaning solution. Mix one tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent with two cups of warm water. You can also add a few drops of white vinegar to mixture if desired.
Step 3: Dip a clean cloth into the solution and lightly dab the mayonnaise stain. Don't scrub the fabric. Continue this process until the stain is gone.
Step 4: Rinse the area with cold water and blot dry with a clean cloth. Once the area is completely dry, turn the outerwear inside out and machine wash using cold water and a mild detergent.
