If the mayonnaise stain is still wet, use a damp cloth to gently dab it, soaking up as much of mess as possible. If it's already dried, apply a pre-treated spot cleaner or use a solution of one part dish detergent to four parts water. Work the cleaning solution into the stained area with a soft brush and then blot away any excess.
Mix together equal parts white vinegar and baking soda to create a paste. Spread the paste over the stain and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Then rinse the paste away with a damp cloth and allow the area to air dry.
Mix a solution of laundry detergent (one teaspoon for every half cup of hot water) in a bowl and then apply it to the mayonnaise stain. Use a soft brush to work the solution into the stain. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse it away with warm water.
Mix together a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap with some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Apply this mixture to the mayonnaise stain with a cloth and rub it in gently. Allow the area to sit for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water.
Finally, use a magic eraser or other melamine cleaning sponge to scrub away any remaining mayonnaise stain. Work the eraser back and forth in a gentle motion until the stain has disappeared. Rinse the area with warm water and then dry it thoroughly with a clean towel or cloth.
Cleaning mayonnaise stains from outdoor furniture is quick and easy when you follow these five simple steps. With just a few household items, you'll have your furniture looking like new in no time!
