- Dish soap
- Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Cotton Ball or Cloth
- Old Toothbrush
Instructions
- Treat the stain immediately. Before attempting to remove the stain, be sure to blot any excess mayonnaise off fabric with a clean cloth.
- Mix a solution of dish soap and vinegar. Mix equal parts of dish soap and white vinegar in a bowl.
- Apply the mixture to the stain. Use a cotton ball or clean, white cloth to apply the mixture to the stain. Allow to sit on the stain for several minutes.
- Rinse and blot the stain. Rinse the area with cool water and then blot the stain with a clean cloth.
- Sprinkle baking soda over the stain. Allow the baking soda to absorb the remaining moisture from the mayonnaise stain.
- Brush away the baking soda. To help release the baking soda from the fabric, use an old toothbrush to gently scrub away the baking soda.
- Launder the dress. To complete the mayonnaise stain removal process, launder the dress according to the manufacturer's instructions.
