Step 1: Blot the Stain

The first step is to gently blot the mayonnaise stain with a dry cloth or paper towel. This will help absorb as much of the mayo as possible before you start cleaning. Try to avoid scrubbing or rubbing, as this could push the stain further into the mattress.

Step 2: Make a Cleaning Solution

After blotting, make a cleaning solution by combining one tablespoon of liquid dish soap with two cups of warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and gently dab the stain. Be sure to rinse the cloth and wring it out before applying more of the solution. Again, avoid scrubbing in order to prevent driving the stain deeper into mattress.

Step 3: Finish Up

Once the stain has been saturated with the solution, use a wet vacuum to remove the excess moisture. Place a thick layer of paper towels over area and use a heavy object such as a book to press them down. Leave the towels in place until the area is completely dry.

With these easy steps, you can easily remove mayonnaise stains from mattresses. For tough stains, be sure to contact a professional cleaner for the best results.
