- Blot the mayonnaise with a cloth or paper towel.
- Mix one teaspoon of dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water.
- Dip a clean white cloth into the solution and wring it out.
- Blot the stained area with the damp cloth.
- Apply more detergent solution to the area if needed.
- Place the linen on a flat surface and let it air dry.
- Once the fabric is completely dry, check to see if the stain has been removed.
- If the stain is still visible, wet the area again and apply a few drops of ammonia.
