Step-by-Step Guide
- Act Immediately: As soon as you notice the mayonnaise stain, act immediately. Don't let it set in for too long or it will become harder to remove.
- Sprinkle Dry Cleaning Fluid: Gently sprinkle a small amount of dry cleaning fluid over the stain. This helps to loosen up the mayonnaise and make it easier to remove.
- Soak in Cold Water: Fill a sink with cold water and submerge your jumper. Let it soak for around 15-20 minutes. This will help to loosen up the stain even further.
- Scrub the Stain: After soaking, use a sponge and a mild liquid soap to scrub the stain gently. Focus mainly on stained area and try to avoid rubbing too hard.
- Apply Stain Remover: If the stain is still visible after scrubbing, apply a stain remover, following the instructions on the packaging. Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing off.
- Rinse and Dry: Once you've removed as much of the stain as possible, rinse jumper in cold water and hang it out to dry. Don't put it in dryer as this could set in stain.
