What You'll Need

  • Dawn Original Dish Soap
  • Baking Soda
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • An Old Toothbrush
  • A Towel or Washcloth
  • Laundry Detergent

Step 1: Pre-treat the Stain

To kickstart your stain removal process, mix up a pre-treatment solution by combining one tablespoon of Dawn dish soap and one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. Stir the mixture together then use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the mayo stain.

Step 2: Make a Paste

Next, you'll need to create a paste by mixing together two tablespoons of baking soda and two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide until you reach a thick, paste-like consistency. Gently apply the paste on the stain and allow it to sit for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Wash Your Joggers

Once the 20 minutes is up, rinse the area with water. Now, add your joggers to the washing machine with a small scoop of laundry detergent. Finally, set the washer to a regular cycle.

Step 4: Air Dry Your Joggers

Air drying your joggers is crucial for maintaining the fabric's integrity. To do this, spread out a towel on a flat surface and lay down the joggers. Allow them to air dry for several hours before wearing.
