Steps to Clean Mayonnaise Stains from Georgette
- Create a mild detergent solution by mixing a teaspoon of mild detergent (a baby shampoo or dish soap works great) with a cup of cold water in a bowl.
- Dampen a white cloth in the detergent solution and gently blot the stain.
- Continue blotting the stained area until all the mayonnaise has been removed.
- Rinse off the detergent solution with cold water and a clean cloth.
- Lay a dry absorbent towel on a flat surface and lay the georgette fabric on top, place another towel edge over the stained area and press lightly to absorb excess water.
- Allow to air dry, away from direct heat or sun.
Additional Tips
- Soak the stained area in cold water for fifteen minutes before treating.
- Always start with a mild solution and work your way up to stronger solutions if necessary.
- Always test detergent solution on a hidden part of the fabric before applying.
