Whether you’ve accidentally dropped your sandwich onto your shirt or got a bit of salad dressing on your favorite jacket, removing mayonnaise stains from Dolce & Gabbana clothing can seem like a daunting task. But the good news is that restoring your clothing back to its former glory is a lot easier than you might expect!
Before you start treating the stain itself, it’s important to brush away any excess mayonnaise and scrape off any residue that may still be clinging to the clothing. Once you’ve done that, then you’re ready to begin the actual stain removal process.
The first step to removing mayonnaise stains from Dolce & Gabbana clothing is to treat it with cold water. If the stain has already dried, then you should attempt to soak the affected area in cold water before you start treating it. This will help to loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.
Once you’ve soaked stain in cold water, then you can begin treating it with detergent. A mild liquid detergent should be used for this step, and applied directly to the mayonnaise stain. Allow detergent to sit on the stain for several minutes before rinsing. Doing so will help to break down the stain and make it easier to lift from the fabric.
After treating the mayonnaise stain with detergent and cold water, then you can begin to try to remove it from clothing. You should do this by gently scrubbing the stained area with a soft cloth or brush. Be sure to use a mild, circular motion when scrubbing so as not to damage the fabric. Lastly, rinse the area with cold water until all traces of detergent have been removed.
Once you’ve finished scrubbing the mayonnaise stain, then it’s time to dry the clothing. The best way to do this is to lay the item flat and let it air dry. Avoid using a dryer machine, as this can cause the stain to set in further.
