What You'll Need:
- Baking soda
- A cotton cloth or sponge
- Liquid dish soap
Instructions:
- Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of liquid dish soap and 1 cup of warm water.
- Soak a cotton cloth or sponge in mixture and wring it out until it's only damp.
- Gently rub the area of the denim that has been stained by the mayonnaise.
- Continue rubbing in the same circular motion until you've removed as much of the mayonnaise as possible.
- Alternatively, if the stain is stubborn, pour 1 cup of white vinegar directly onto the stain to help loosen it. Let it sit for 5 minutes before rubbing it again with the damp cloth.
- Once the stain is removed, rinse the area with cold water and let it air dry.
Additional Tips:
- If you notice any discoloration on denim, use a laundry pre-treatment to help lighten it up.
- When pre-treating, be sure to follow the instructions on the product's label for best results.
- Clean a small test area first before applying the pre-treatment to an entire garment.
