Mayonnaise is a staple of many meals, but it can leave behind an unsightly and stubborn stain that’s difficult to remove. Whether you spilled some on yourself while eating, or one of your friends left a big blob on your shirt as a joke, here is how you can get mayonnaise stains out of your favourite crop top.
Step 1: Gently Blot Up the Excess Mayonnaise
Using a paper towel or a soft cloth, gently blot the excess mayonnaise from the fabric. Try not to rub stain too hard, as this can cause it to spread.
Step 2: Apply White Vinegar to the Stain
Using a clean cloth or a brush, lightly dab white vinegar onto stain. Let the vinegar sit on the stain for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.
Step 3: Pre-Treat the Stain with a Stain Remover
Spray a pre-treatment stain remover onto mayonnaise stain. Make sure the product is designed for colourfast fabrics. Let it sit for a few minutes before putting the garment in the washing machine.
