If you notice the mayonnaise stain right away, take a clean cloth or paper towel and blot the excess off by gently pressing on the area. Work from the outside of the stain inward to avoid spreading it further. Repeat this process until no more liquid remains on fabric.
Once the excess has been removed, create a soapy mixture by combining a few drops of dish detergent and cold water. Apply this solution to the stained area and allow it to sit for 10 minutes. Then, use a soft, dry cloth to rub the detergent into the stain.
Rinse away the soapy mixture with cold water. Use your fingers or a clean cloth to ensure that all of the soap is removed.
Create a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and cold water. Use a clean cloth to dab this solution onto stained area. Allow the vinegar mixture to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it away with cold water.
Finally, launder the garment according to its care instructions. If the stain is still present, repeat steps 1-4 and then launder again.
