Steps to Clean a Mayonnaise Stain

- Mix together a solution of 1 part dish detergent to 2 parts cold water in a bowl or bucket.
- Dampen a clean cloth in the solution and dab stain with it.
- If necessary, repeat the previous step until mayonnaise is completely removed. Do not scrub the fabric.
- Once the mayonnaise is gone, rinse area with cold water.
- To dry garment, lay it flat in direct sunlight.
Tips for Removing Mayonnaise Stains
- Do not use hot water, as this can cause the stain to set.
- Do not put garment in a washing machine or dryer before the stain is completely removed.
- If the stain will not come out with the detergent solution, try dabbing the area with rubbing alcohol.
- If the stain persists, take garment to a professional dry cleaner.
