Getting mayonnaise stains out of cotton lawn can be tricky since the fabric is a bit more delicate than some other fabrics. But not to worry, with a few simple steps you can easily erase those pesky mayo stains. Here are a few tips for removing mayonnaise from your cotton lawn:

  • Start by blotting up as much of mayo as possible with a paper towel.
  • Dampen a cloth with some warm water and blot the area gently. Don’t rub it in, as this can make the stain worse.
  • Mix one tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent and one quart of cold water. Dip a clean cloth into this mixture and blot area lightly.
  • Rinse with cold water then launder as you normally would.
  • For stubborn stains, mix 1/4 cup oxygen bleach with 4 cups of cold water and let fabric soak for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly then launder.

Following these simple steps will help you remove mayonnaise stains from cotton lawn and have your garments looking fresh and new! Good luck!
