One of most effective methods for removing mayonnaise stains from your corduroy clothing is to use spot cleaning with a mixture of liquid dishwashing soap and white vinegar. You can make the mixture by combining about 75% liquid dishwashing soap and 25% vinegar into a bowl and stirring together until it forms a paste. Then, use a clean cotton swab or cotton towel to apply the paste directly to the stain. Rub gently in a small circular motion. Make sure not to scrub too hard, as this could damage the fabric.

If you don’t have a dishwashing solution or vinegar handy, you can use diluted detergent instead. This works best on stains that are fresh, but it can also be effective on old stains. To make a diluted detergent solution, mix 1 teaspoon of unscented detergent with 1 cup of cold water. Use a clean cotton towel to blot the stained area with the mixture. Allow area to soak for 10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

While above methods work effectively for removing mayonnaise stains from corduroy, they are not the only options. You can also use rubbing alcohol or white distilled vinegar to remove the stain, though it’s important to note that these solutions can be harsh on fabrics and will likely fade the color of corduroy. You should also test the solution on a hidden area of the fabric first to make sure it doesn’t have any unwanted effects.

After removing mayonnaise stain from your corduroy, you’ll want to rinse area well with cold water and allow it to air dry. It’s best to avoid using an iron or dryer on corduroy as this can cause the fabric to shrink and colors to fade.
