Mayonnaise is a creamy condiment that is popularly used around the world to add flavor to food. Unfortunately, this thick sauce can also be difficult to remove from clothing if it spills. The most important factor in removing a mayonnaise stain from any garment is to act quickly. Fresh stains are far easier to remove than those that have been allowed to set. Use a paper towel or clean cloth to blot at the stain as soon as possible. Work from the outside inwards to prevent the stain from spreading further.

Once excess mayonnaise is removed, you can begin treating it with a detergent solution. Gently rub an enzyme-based detergent, such as one specifically designed for stains caused by food, onto the stain. Let the detergent sit on the area for up to 30 minutes, and then rinse it off with cold water.

If the stain still stubbornly remains, mix a teaspoon of white vinegar with a teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent to make a paste. Apply paste to the mayonnaise stain and let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.

For tough mayonnaise stains that haven’t completely disappeared after the steps above, you may need to use a powdered laundry detergent. To do this, combine one tablespoon of powdered laundry detergent into a quart of water and stir until fully dissolved. Soak affected area for up to five minutes, then rinse with cold water. After rinsing, shake the item out slightly to allow any moisture to evaporate and hang it up to dry completely.

These steps should help to effectively remove mayonnaise stains from Calvin Klein clothing. However, to be sure of complete removal, always take the item to a professional dry cleaner for additional assistance.
