Step 1: Blot the Stain Immediately
As soon as you’ve spilled mayonnaise on your briefs, take a clean towel or cloth and gently blot stain. Avoid putting too much pressure on the fabric or rubbing it as this can make stain worse.
Step 2: Pre-treat the Stain
Mix together a solution of equal parts warm water and detergent or white vinegar. Dip a cloth into the solution and gently dab the affected area. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to remove. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off with cool water.
Step 3: Wash With Detergent
Add detergent to a basin of warm water and place the stained briefs in the solution. Leave the briefs to soak for up to 30 minutes. Then rinse the briefs with clean cold water and hang them to air dry. If the stain is still visible after washing, repeat the pre-treatment process and wash again.
