What You Need

  • Clean cloth
  • Mild detergent
  • White vinegar
  • Baking soda

Removing the Stain

Start by blotting stain with a dry cloth. This will help take away the excess mayonnaise.

Next, mix a solution of 1 tablespoon of mild detergent and 2 cups of warm water. Soak a clean cloth in solution and dab the stained area. Do not scrub vigorously or make any harsh movements, as this could cause the stain to spread.

If the stain is still there, try mixing 1/2 cup of white vinegar with 1/2 cup of water and dab the mixture onto the stained area. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with a cloth soaked in clean water.

For tough stains, mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of water and rub the mixture onto the stain. Leave it for a few minutes, then rinse off with clean water.

Once you're done, let your anorak air dry.

Final Thoughts

Removing mayonnaise stains from your anorak may seem like a daunting task, but using these tips can help make it easier. With a bit of time and effort, your anorak should be looking as good as new.
