Step 1: Scrape off Excess Mayo from the Stain

Take a spoon and carefully scrape away any excess mayo from the fabric. This will help to reduce the amount of mayo left on the garment.

Step 2: Pre-Treat with Detergent or Neutralizer

Next, prepare a mixture of detergent and warm water, or apply a commercial pre-treatment solution, and gently rub it into the area of the stain. Allow the solution to sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing.

Step 3: Rinse the Fabric

Rinse the fabric in cold water to remove any leftover residue from the detergent/neutralizer solution. Repeat as necessary until all residue has been removed.

Step 4: Put Fabric in Washing Machine

Now you can put the fabric in the washing machine along with your regular laundry detergent. Run the cycle as normal and allow it to finish. Check the stain to make sure the mayonnaise has been removed before drying.

Step 5: Hang to Dry

Once the cycle is complete, hang the fabric to dry in a well-ventilated area. Avoid leaving the fabric in direct sunlight to avoid any fading.
