Mascara can leak or be accidentally dropped onto your wallet, leaving an unsightly stain. No one wants a stain on their wallet, so put away that nail polish remover and use the following methods to safely and effectively clean mascara stains.
Wet a cloth and gently blot stain with it. Use a light pressure when doing this. Be careful not to rub or scrub the fabric as this could cause further damage.
Mix a solution of mild soap and water and apply it onto the stained area. Use a soft cloth to work the substance into the fabric. As you do this, you should see the stain start to lift.
Once all the soap has been worked into fabric, rinse the wallet with clean, cold water. Make sure to completely remove any residual soap residue.
Remove any excess water by dabbing the area with a paper towel. Once wallet is mostly dry, allow it to fully air dry in a well-ventilated area.
If the stain does not completely disappear after the first attempt, repeat the method until the stain is gone.
You can now enjoy your stain-free wallet.
