- Start by treating the stain with a pre-wash stain remover. Allow pre-wash stain remover to sit on stain for a few minutes before washing the shirt.
- After treating stain, put the t-shirt in the washing machine. Use cold water and a gentle cycle. Do not use hot water, as this can set the stain into the fabric.
- Once the cycle is complete, assess the stain. If it is still present, repeat steps 1 and 2.
- If the stain persists, try a heavier-duty cleaner. Mix two parts white vinegar and one part laundry detergent in a bowl, then use a clean white cloth to dab the solution onto the stain. Rinse the cloth in cold water and continue blotting stain until it is removed.
- Finally, put the t-shirt in the washing machine for a second time. Use cold water and a gentle cycle, and add a color-safe bleach if desired. After the cycle is complete, check the stain. If it is still present, repeat steps 1-4 until the stain is removed.
