Use a plastic spoon or butter knife to gently scrape off as much of the stain as possible. Be careful not to rub the fabric too aggressively, as this may cause further damage.
Using a sponge or an eyedropper, wet the stained area with lukewarm water. Then dab area with a clean cloth to pick up any remaining debris.
Make a paste of equal parts liquid detergent and hydrogen peroxide then apply the mixture to the stain. Gently rub the paste into the fabric with your fingers in a circular motion. Allow to sit for 10 minutes before continuing.
If the stain has not completely lifted, fill a bowl with lukewarm water and add a few drops of white vinegar. Soak taffeta dress in the mixture for 30 minutes, then remove and rinse in cold water.
Lay the garment flat on a clean towel and allow it to air dry. Once it is completely dry, check to make sure that the stain is completely gone. If there are still traces of the stain, repeat the process until it is fully removed.
