Before you start, it’s important to have all the materials you need within arm’s reach. Assemble the following items:
The first step is to rinse the area with warm water, which will help to loosen the stain. Gently rub area with your hands until the water runs clear.
To create the paste, mix equal parts baking soda and vinegar in a bowl. Once combined, use a toothbrush to apply the paste to stain. Leave for 10 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
Once the paste has been rinsed off, gently rub a small amount of liquid laundry detergent into the stain using your fingers. Let sit for 5 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.
When you’re finished, soak the swim trunks in cold water overnight. This helps to draw out any remaining stain.
The final step is to wash the swim trunks in washing machine. Use the hottest setting recommended for type of fabric, and add a few drops of white vinegar to load. Dry on a cool setting.
