Easy Steps to Remove Mascara Stains from Your Socks

Nobody wants to walk around with a smudge of black mascara on their socks. Luckily, you can easily and quickly clean these stains with a few simple steps.
What You’ll Need:
- White vinegar
- A white cloth
- Laundry detergent
Step 1: Treat the Stain with White Vinegar
Using a damp white cloth, rub a generous amount of white vinegar into the stained area. Let the vinegar sit on the stain for a few moments. This should help to loosen the mascara.
Step 2: Rinse with Cold Water
Rinse affected area of your sock with cold water, which should further help to remove the stain.
Step 3: Wash in the Washing Machine
Once you’ve removed as much of the mascara stain as possible, put your socks in the washing machine with some laundry detergent and wash on the gentle cycle. This should remove any remaining trace of the stain.
Step 4: Hang to Dry
Hang your freshly washed socks up to dry. This will prevent them from shrinking or becoming misshapen.
