What You Need to Clean Mascara Stains
- White vinegar
- Dishwashing liquid
- Baking soda
- Cotton swabs
- Paper towels
How to Clean Mascara Stains from Skirts
- Before doing anything else, check care instructions tag to ensure you do not ruin the fabric.
- Blot up as much of the mascara as possible with a paper towel. Blotting will prevent any further smearing or spreading.
- Mix one tablespoon of vinegar with two tablespoons of dishwashing liquid and one teaspoon of baking soda.
- Using a cotton swab, dab the mixture onto the mascara stain.
- Rinse out the solution with warm water and blot dry with a paper towel.
- Repeat steps 3-5 until stain has been removed.
Additional Tips
- If the stain won’t come out, you can try using rubbing alcohol or a stain remover.
- Avoid harsh chemicals as they may damage the fabric.
- Always wash entire skirt in cold water afterwards as the stain remover or other solutions you used might be left behind.
