What You'll Need:
- Bowl of water
- White vinegar
- Dish soap
- Old toothbrush
- Rubbing alcohol
Steps to Remove Mascara Stains from Silk Faille:
- First, mix ¼ cup white vinegar with 1 quart of water in a bowl. Dip the stained portion of silk faille into mixture and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Create a gentle detergent solution by mixing equal parts of detergent and warm water. Make sure the detergent does not contain bleach.
- Take an old toothbrush and dip it into the detergent solution. Gently scrub the stain in a circular motion.
- Rinse the area with cold water. Repeat this step until the stain has been removed.
- If the stain still remains, try using rubbing alcohol. Place rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth and dab the stain lightly. Rinse again with cold water.
