Fill a sink with warm water and pour in a mild detergent. Submerge soiled area and gently massage to create suds. Allow it to soak for a few minutes before rinsing with clean water.
If the stain is small, try applying dishwashing liquid directly to the stained area. Rub gently with a soft cloth until stain has been lifted. Rinse with warm water and wipe away any excess moisture.
If soap and water isn’t enough to remove mascara stain, try blotting the area with rubbing alcohol. Dab the stained area with a cotton cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol. Don’t rub, as this can cause the stain to spread. Rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.
Removing mascara stains from satin materials can be a challenge, but these three steps should help you get rid of even the toughest stains. Be sure to always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area of your fabric first, and never use bleach or other harsh chemicals to clean satin materials.
