Mascara can be an absolute nightmare to get out of clothing or fabric, but it doesn't have to be. While it is difficult to remove a full-on mascara stain from fabric, it is often much more manageable when it comes to shoes like sandals.

The following are a few tried and tested methods for removing mascara stains from sandals:

  • Using a cloth soaked in warm water, gently rub the stained area until the stain is removed. This can take some patience, but the end result will be worth it. If the stain persists, try using a little bit of white vinegar on the cloth.
  • Using a very mild detergent and a cloth, moisten the cloth then rub the detergent onto the stain. Rinse with warm water and repeat as necessary.
  • Rubbing alcohol can also be used to help break up the stain, but be careful as it can be harsh on leather sandals. If you decide to use this method, test it first in a small area before applying to the entire stained area.
  • If all else fails, you can always take the sandals to a professional shoe cleaner and have them take care of the problem.

With these simple steps, you can have your sandals looking good as new. Remember to take constant care of your sandals in order to avoid future stains!
