The first step to tackle mascara stains on your robe is to mix a teaspoon of washing powder with a cup of lukewarm water. Dip a clean cloth into solution and blot off the stain. Then, rinse the area with plain water and dab it again with a towel.
If the stain is proving difficult to get rid of, try rubbing a spot of ammonia onto it. Be sure to use a clean cloth so as not to spread the stain further. If the stain still doesn't come off, you can try pretreating it with a laundry detergent or a spot cleaner specifically made for fabric. Simply apply the solution to the affected area and let it sit for a few minutes before washing robe.
To soon be rid of the pesky stain, put your robe in the washing machine on its usual cycle. You can add a regular laundry detergent and some bleach before starting the machine. Get your robe out of washing machine once it is done and check if the stain has gone. If the stain is still there, repeat the process and make sure the detergent and bleach are correctly dissolved before putting robe back into the machine.
Once the stain has finally disappeared, hang your robe up to dry, making sure not to expose it directly to the sun as this could cause discolouration.
