Piqué material is known for its softness and strength; however, it also has a tendency to hold onto stains. If you've gotten mascara on your piqué fabric, best way to ensure the mascara is removed properly is to act quickly and follow these steps.

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Using a clean white cloth, gently blot stain to absorb as much of makeup as possible.

Step 2: Apply a Spot Cleaner

Choose a spot cleaner or product specifically designed for makeup removal and follow the instructions on the packaging. Apply the cleaner to the stained area and allow it to sit for a few minutes.

Step 3: Rinse the Stain

Using cold water, gently rinse the area of stain to remove any residue or product that may have been left behind.

Step 4: Apply Soap Solution

Make a solution by combining a teaspoon of dishwashing soap and two cups of warm water. Using a clean cloth, dab the solution onto the stained area and allow it to sit for a few minutes.

Step 5: Launder the Piqué Fabric

Wash the fabric in a cold water cycle, using a mild detergent. Once complete, hang fabric outside to air dry.

With these easy steps, you will have no trouble removing mascara stains from piqué fabric. The key is to act fast and use the right cleaning methods.
