What You Need:

  • Soft cloths
  • Baking soda
  • Water
  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar

Step 1: Scrape Off Any Excess Mascara

Start by scraping off any excess mascara that’s still on surface of furniture with a spoon or butter knife. Be careful not to press too hard as this may damage the finish of furniture.

Step 2: Mix a Baking Soda Paste

Mix a few tablespoons of baking soda with water to create a paste. Make sure the paste is thick enough that it doesn’t run down the sides of furniture.

Step 3: Apply the Paste

Use a soft cloth to spread the paste onto the stained area. Make sure to cover the entire stain with paste.

Step 4: Let Paste Sit

Leave the paste to sit on stain for 10-15 minutes. This will give it time to work its magic.

Step 5: Wipe Away the Paste

Using a damp cloth, gently wipe away baking soda paste and the stain with it. If stain is still visible, repeat steps 2-5 until the stain is gone.

Step 6: Spot Clean With Dish Soap and Vinegar

If there are still traces of the stain remaining, mix a solution of equal parts dish soap and white vinegar. Use a soft cloth to apply the solution to the stain and gently rub in circular motions. Once the stain has disappeared, rinse the area with water to remove any residue.

Conclusion

Cleaning mascara stains from outdoor furniture doesn't have to be a difficult task. As long as you follow these steps, you can easily rid your furniture of any stubborn mascara stains.
