When dealing with delicate fabrics like Nautica clothing, it’s important to be gentle when removing mascara stains. The first step is to try and remove as much excess mascara as possible using a dull knife or spoon, being careful not to rub the stain further into fabric. Next, apply a mixture of liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water directly onto the stain. Let the solution sit for 10 minutes.
Dampen a white paper towel or cloth in cool water and blot the stained area, working from outside of the stain towards the center. Repeat the process until the stain has been removed. If the stain still remains after one treatment, reapply the soap and water mixture and let it sit again.
When the stain has been fully removed, wash the garment using the same temperature of water as the stain was treated with. Once the item has finished washing, check to make sure the stain has been completely removed before drying it in the dryer.
