Mix a few drops of mild detergent with warm water in a bowl, and allow your jewelry to sit in the mixture for about 10 to 15 minutes. After the time is up, use an old toothbrush to gently brush away the mascara stain until it completely disappears.
If the detergent and water method didn't work, try rubbing a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover onto the stain. Allow it to sit for 1 minute and then rinse away the excess remover and scrub away at the remaining mascara stain with the toothbrush.
To remove extra stubborn stains, mix equal parts of vinegar and baking soda together until you have a creamy paste. Rub paste onto the stain and then rinse it away. You may need to repeat this process a few times until the stain is gone.
If all else fails, you can always take your jewelry to a professional cleaner for a deeper cleaning. They will likely apply an ultrasonic cleaning technique to your jewelry, which is sure to remove even toughest mascara stains.
