If you’ve ever gotten mascara on your gloves, you may have thought they were ruined. Fortunately, you can clean mascara stains from gloves with just a few simple steps.
Before attempting to remove the mascara stain, put on a pair of rubber gloves to protect your hands from the cleaning agents you will be using. This is especially important if your gloves are made of a delicate fabric such as leather or silk.
Gently brush away the excess mascara stain with a soft-bristled brush. This will help break up the stain and make it easier to remove. Be sure to use a light touch and take care not to damage fabric.
Mix a solution of mild detergent, white vinegar, and baking soda. This combination works to break down the oils in the mascara. To make the mixture, add one tablespoon of detergent, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and one teaspoon of baking soda to a bowl of warm water.
Dip the stained area into the cleaning solution and allow it to soak for 10-15 minutes. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.
Remove the gloves from the cleaning solution and rinse them with cool water. Gently blot the gloves with a dry, clean cloth to remove any excess moisture. Hang the gloves to air dry.
With these simple steps, you can easily clean mascara stains from your gloves and keep them looking like new.
