Removing Mascara Stains from Cotton Blends
- First, brush off the excess mascara with a toothbrush or a soft rag.
- Dilute hydrogen peroxide with a few drops of warm water and use an old toothbrush or a damp cloth to rub the stain.
- Rinse with cold water. You can also substitute hydrogen peroxide for white vinegar.
- Apply dishwashing liquid to the affected area and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Rinse the fabric with cold water and let the garment air dry.
Removing Mascara Stains from Polyester and Nylon Fabric
- Brushing off the excess mascara is still recommended in this case.
- Create a cleaning solution of one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid mixed with two cups of warm water.
- Dip a soft rag or cloth into the cleaning solution and dab stained area.
- Rinse the area with cold water.
- Let garment air-dry.
