Step 1: Blot Spot

The first step to treating any stain is to remove as much of liquid as you can. Using a cloth, quickly blot at the stain–don’t rub it, as this will just push the stain further into the fabric.

Step 2: Apply Detergent

Next, take a tablespoon of detergent and mix it with two cups of warm water. Apply a small amount of the mixture onto the stained area, and let it sit for 5 minutes. Gently rub area with a clean cloth to help dislodge the stain.

Step 3: Rinse the Area

Once the detergent has had a chance to work its magic, rinse the area with cold water. This will help to remove any remaining detergent residue. If the stain is still visible, repeat steps two and three until it has disappeared.

Step 4: Dry the Garment

The final step is to dry the garment. Lay garment on a flat surface, and use a fan or hair dryer to help speed up the drying process.

Conclusion

Removing mascara stains from dresses doesn’t have to be an impossible task. With a few simple steps, you can easily get rid of stain and have your dress looking like new again!
