Before you scrub away the mascara stain, you’ll want to prepare the area around it. Pre-treating coverall material will help you get best results. To do this, start by vacuuming the coveralls to remove any dust particles that may interfere with the cleaning process.
Once the area is prepped, use a mild detergent to spot treat the mascara stain. Work detergent into the stain using a circular motion. Let the detergent sit for five minutes before rinsing.
If the detergent didn’t completely remove the stain, try a store-bought stain remover. Apply product according to the instructions on the packaging, gently rubbing it into the stain if necessary. Leave the product on the coverall for five to ten minutes before rinsing.
Now that you have applied the cleaner or stain remover, it’s time to rinse it. Use cold water to thoroughly rinse the area. Be sure to completely remove all soap residue before moving on to the next step.
Once the coveralls have been rinsed, hang them up in a well-ventilated area to dry. This will ensure that material has completely dried before being stored or worn. If necessary, use a fan or hairdryer on the lowest setting to speed up the drying process.
