Things You'll Need:

  • Sponge
  • Soapy water
  • Liquid laundry detergent
  • Towel

Step 1: Blot The Stain

Using a clean, dry sponge, blot the stained area gently to remove any excess mascara residue. Be sure not to rub or scrub, as this may cause the stain to spread further.

Step 2: Soak in Soapy Water

Mix a solution of lukewarm water and liquid dish soap in a bowl, and soak the stained area of the fabric in it. Allow it to sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 3: Scrub With Detergent

Once the fabric has finished soaking, scrub the stained area lightly with a small amount of liquid laundry detergent. Rinse the area with cold water.

Step 4: Dry The Fabric

Blot the fabric with a clean towel. Do not wring the fabric or twist it to dry, as this may cause the stain to set in further. Allow the fabric to air dry.
