Cornely lace is a durable, intricate fabric used for various garments and decorative items. It’s a two-dimensional fabric typically made of silk, cotton, or linen threads woven together. Unfortunately, mascara stains can ruin the esthetic of this delicate fabric. Thankfully, we have some tips and techniques that you can follow to safely remove mascara stains from your Cornely lace.

Step 1: Gently Scrape the Excess Product

Begin by gently scraping off as much excess mascara as possible. Use a toothbrush or an old, clean towel to brush away any chunks of mascara stuck into the fibres. Avoid using too much pressure as the fabric may get damaged.

Step 2: Blot the Stain Repeatedly with Detergent Solution

Mix a few drops of detergent into a bowl of lukewarm water and use a clean cloth to dab the stain gently. Be sure to only dab—do not scrub! Repeat this process until you notice the stain fading. For tougher stains, try adding some white vinegar to the solution.

Step 3: Choose Your Preferred Cleaning Agent

Depending on the type of stain you have, different cleaning agents may be required. For oil-based stains, use a dry-cleaning solvent such as isopropanol or perchloroethylene. For water-based stains, mix a few drops of laundry detergent with some water and apply directly onto the stain. You can also use ammonia and hydrogen peroxide for stubborn stains.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry the Fabric

Next, rinse the stained area with cold water. Make sure to avoid using any kind of hot water as it may cause the stain to set permanently. After rinsing, spread the Cornely lace out flat and allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated room.

Step 5: Check for Any Residue

Once dry, examine the fabric for any residual mascara. If necessary, repeat above steps or use a mild bleach solution to eliminate any remaining residue.

With these tips, we hope you can restore your Cornely lace to its original beauty without damaging it. Follow these steps and you should have your lace item looking like it’s brand new again.
