Chiffon georgette is a delicate fabric that requires special attention when cleaning. And mascara can be especially tricky to remove from this type of fabric. So, it is important to follow a few simple steps to get rid of the unwanted stains in a safe and effective manner.
Supplies You Will Need
- Small bowl
- A tablespoon of gentle, non-bleach detergent
- White cotton cloth
Instructions
- Mix the detergent in a small bowl filled with lukewarm water.
- Dip the white cotton cloth into the detergent mixture and wring out the excess liquid before applying to the stained area.
- Gently rub stained area and allow detergent to penetrate the fabric.
- Rinse the area with cold water and blot with a dry white cotton cloth.
- Repeat steps 2-4 until all of mascara has been removed.
- Allow the garment to air dry.
Additional Tips
- Do not use hot water as it could cause the stain to set permanently.
- Do not rub the fabric too harshly, as it could damage the fabric.
