Step 1: Determine If Your Fabric Is Machine-Washable

The first step in removing a mascara stain from your brocade fabric is to determine if it is machine-washable. Most brocade fabrics are, but if you're not sure, check the care instructions or consult with the fabric's manufacturer.

Step 2: Prepare Your Stain-Removal Solution

Once you know that your brocade fabric is machine-washable, you'll need to prepare a suitable stain-removal solution. To do this, combine one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Mix these ingredients together until it forms a sudsy solution.

Step 3: Soak the Stain in the Solution

Once your solution is ready, soak the stained area of your fabric in it for about 15 minutes. This will help to loosen and remove the mascara from fabric.

Step 4: Launder as Usual

After the fabric has had time to soak in the solution, remove it and launder it as usual. Be sure to use the warmest water temperature that is safe for the fabric and add a pre-treater like OxiClean or Shout! for maximum stain removal.

Step 5: Check for Remaining Stains

After laundering, inspect the fabric for remaining stains. If there are any, repeat Steps 2–4 until the stains are completely removed.

Step 6: Dry and Enjoy!

Once all of stains have been removed, you can dry your fabric as usual and continue to enjoy it for years to come.
