What You Will Need

  • Cleaning agent specific for protein-based stains, such as shampoo, a laundry detergent, or a carpet cleaner
  • Cold water
  • Sponge
  • Stiff brush
  • White towel

Step 1: Prepare the Cleaning Solution

The first step in getting rid of mascara stain is to create a cleaning solution. Start by adding 2-3 teaspoons of the cleaning agent to 1 cup of cold water. Make sure to stir the solution until completely mixed.

Step 2: Soak the Stain

Once cleaning solution is ready, you can start using it to remove the mascara stain. Take a sponge and soak it in the solution, then blot affected area with the sponge. Remember to keep replacing the solution as it gets dirty. Let the solution soak for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Rub Stain

After 15 minutes has elapsed, take a stiff brush and gently rub the stain in circular motions. Keep repeating this process until stain starts to fade away.

Step 4: Rinse and Dry

When you are satisfied with the results, take a white towel and wipe off any excess solution from blazer. Finally, rinse the blazer with cold water, and hang it up to let it air dry.

At Last

Using these steps, you should be able to successfully remove any mascara stains from your blazer. It is important to remember to always use cold water, and never apply heat to the stain, as it could make it harder to remove.
