Steps for Removing Mascara Stains on Belts

  • Before attempting to clean the belt, lay it out flat on a paper towel or clean cloth.
  • Mix equal parts of white vinegar and warm water in a bowl.
  • Dampen a clean cloth with vinegar and water mixture.
  • Gently rub stained area with the dampened cloth.
  • Continue to gently scrub the stained area until the stain is no longer visible.
  • Once the stain is gone, rinse off the belt with clean water.
  • Allow the belt to air dry.

Helpful Tips for Cleaning Mascara Stains from Belts

  • Always test a small, inconspicuous area before using any cleaning method to ensure the material won’t damage the belt.
  • If the above steps do not work, use a dab of liquid detergent or rubbing alcohol.
  • When blotting the stain, be sure to use light pressure to avoid further spreading.
  • If belt has a plastic coating, wipe the belt down with a damp paper towel afterwards to remove any residue.
