The first step is to gently dab the stain with a clean, dry cloth or a sponge. If you are dealing with a larger spot, you may want to use a soft-bristled brush to scrub away the stain. Do not rub or scrub too hard, as this could damage fabric of the bandana.

Next, mix up a solution of tepid water and mild soap or detergent and apply it directly to the stain. Let it sit for a few minutes before blotting it with a cloth, or alternatively use a soft-bristled brush to agitate the stain until it lifts off the fabric.

If stain still won't budge, mix together equal parts of rubbing alcohol and warm water and apply same way you did the mild soap solution. When stain is gone, rinse the bandana with cold water and hang it up to air-dry. Once the bandana is dry, you can soft press the fabric with a cool iron to finish the job.

And there you have it! Follow these easy steps and your bandanas will be good as new. Now maybe next time you'll think twice about wearing mascara and a bandana together!
