Say Goodbye to Mascara Stains on Your Area Rugs!
Mascara stains are one of the few things that can cause a huge headache for homeowners, especially if it gets onto an area rug. Trying to clean it off with a simple wipe may not be enough - and it is really tricky to get a mascara stain out of a carpet. Luckily, there are effective ways to remove mascara stains from your area rugs without much effort.

Instructions:
- Using an old toothbrush or soft-bristle brush, gently scrub the stained area with a solution made of 1 teaspoon of detergent with warm water and a little ammonia. Repeatedly scrub for about 2 minutes.
- Let the cleaning solution sit for 10-15 minutes before patting it down with a damp cloth.
- Use a fresh cloth, soak it in cold water and dab the area several times to rinse it.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of baking soda over the affected area and leave it to sit overnight.
- Vacuum up the baking soda in the morning and admire the stain-free area rug!
Tips:
- If you can still see stain, repeat steps 1-5 until it is all gone.
- Make sure to use a trusted detergent such as Tide.
- Do not use bleach on the area rug as this may cause it to discolor.
