How to Easily Clean Mascara Stains from American Eagle Clothing
No one likes seeing mascara stains on their American Eagle clothing. Fortunately, getting rid of them isn't as hard as it may seem – and here's how.

What You Need
- Rubbing alcohol
- A soft cloth
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar
Steps to Remove the Stain
- Immediately blot any excess mascara with a damp cloth.
- Dilute a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol in two cups of cold water. Soak a cloth in this solution and gently dab the stain.
- Once you’ve absorbed as much as the stain as possible, spray a little more rubbing alcohol onto the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix a cup of laundry detergent with two tablespoons of white vinegar.
- Gently rub this solution onto the stain in a circular motion.
- Rinse the area with cold water.
- Allow the item to air-dry, And check to make sure the stain is gone before putting it in dryer.
When to Call a Professional
If the stain persists after following steps above, you may need to call a professional cleaner. Professional cleaners have access to more powerful cleaning chemicals that may be needed to remove stain entirely.
